Corsa fuel flap release malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Vauxhall Corsa diesel is experiencing a fuel flap release malfunction, preventing the locking or unlocking of the fuel filler flap and causing other functions to be unavailable. The issue is suspected to be related to the electric actuator. Diagnosis at a workshop confirmed that the problem was due to a defective lock actuator linkage, and replacing it resolved the malfunction.

Thanks. I'm not entirely sure about the release mechanism, but I suspect it might be an electric actuator. Is there a way to be sure?

Well, on my Megane, the actuator was the culprit. Given your symptoms and the error message, it's likely the same for you. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get it diagnosed properly. If it is the actuator, replacement should fix it.

Thanks! I took the Corsa to a workshop for a diagnosis. Apparently it was the lock actuator linkage defective which caused the issue. The total repair cost was 210€.

I had a similar issue with my Renault Megane. The fuel filler door wouldn't open. Does the Corsa use an electric actuator or a cable release? In my case, the electric actuator had failed.
