Corsa Gearbox Slipping

Help! My 2020 electric Vauxhall Corsa is doing my head in! Paddle shifters are useless, the gearbox is slipping like crazy and making awful grinding noises when it eventually does shift. It's like the paddle shifters are on a go-slow. Now it's stuck in emergency mode and the computer's throwing errors left, right, and centre. Mileage is at 206508 km. Anyone else had this?

Summary of the thread

A 2020 electric Vauxhall Corsa is experiencing significant gearbox issues, including slipping, grinding noises, and malfunctioning paddle shifters, eventually leading to the car being stuck in emergency mode with multiple error codes. The problem is identified as a faulty transmission control unit. The suggested solution is to have the control unit checked and replaced at a workshop, which resolves the issue.

That sounds rough. I've got a Corsa too, and had similar gearbox problems. Were you getting any specific error codes?

Yeah, loads of codes, but they all point to the transmission control unit. You think it's the same thing?

Sounds exactly like what happened to mine. It was the transmission control unit. Get it checked at a workshop.

Cheers! Took it to the shop, and you were spot on. Control unit was buggered. Cost about 1000€ to fix. At least it's running smooth again!
