Corsa idle air control issue

My 2023 Vauxhall Corsa, gasoline engine, is acting up. It's got 131835 km on it. The check engine light is on, with an error about idle air control. It sometimes stalls at idle, especially when it's cold. I'm wondering if the intake is badly contaminated. Has anyone else experienced this?

Stalling Corsa? Sounds familiar! I had similar issues with my Corsa, though not exactly the same symptoms. I remember error codes and idle issues. Was your error also related to the throttle body?

The error points to the idle air control valve. I'm guessing it's gunked up because of a dirty air intake. Did you clean the throttle body, or did you have to replace the whole valve?

Ah, the idle air control valve... I just took mine to a workshop. They confirmed a heavily contaminated intake was the issue. Saved me a lot of trouble. Good luck!

Thanks. Looks like I'll be heading to the workshop too. They quoted me around 425€ to sort it, which seems reasonable. Hopefully, that'll be the end of it!
