Corsa intake air temperature sensor fault

Hi, I've got a 2005 Vauxhall Corsa diesel and the check engine light's come on. It feels like it's lost some power and is running a bit rough. I plugged in an OBD reader and it's showing an error for the intake air temperature sensor. Mileage is at 82227 km. Could this be the sensor itself?

Summary of the thread

A 2005 Vauxhall Corsa diesel is experiencing a check engine light, loss of power, and rough running, with an OBD error code P0113 indicating an intake air temperature sensor fault. The sensor shows plausible readings when the engine is off but drops to low values when running. This behavior suggests the sensor itself is likely faulty, and replacing it is recommended to resolve the issue.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Hello, I have a Corsa too, and I had similar symptoms a while back. Check engine light, rough running. Do you have the error code at hand? What readings does the sensor give?

The error code is P0113. When the engine is off, the temp reading seems plausible, but when running it drops to really low values. Did yours behave like that?

Yes, that's exactly what mine did. It was the intake air temperature sensor. Given the symptoms and the error code, I'd say it's highly likely that's your issue too. I ended up taking it to a workshop though. They replaced the sensor for 155€.

Thanks! Sounds like it's the sensor, then. I'll get it booked in at a garage. Cheers for the help!
