Corsa Mixture Preparation Error
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Vauxhall Corsa diesel is experiencing a 'mixture preparation error,' leading to power loss, rough idling, and stalling. The issue might be related to the fuel system, possibly involving faulty injectors. After checking the air filter and MAF sensor, the problem was traced to a faulty injector on cylinder 3, which was replaced, resolving the issue.

Cheers for the reply! Plugs are relatively new, but unburnt fuel smell... hmm, maybe a little stronger than usual. How did you pinpoint the fuel injectors? Did you try any tests yourself, or just bite the bullet and take it to a garage?

I didn't have the tools or the know-how to properly test the injectors myself, so I took it straight to a trusted mechanic. Turned out one of the injectors was completely shot. Best to get it checked properly, before you cause more damage.

Right you are. Injectors it is, then! Just got back from the workshop. Faulty injector on cylinder 3 was the culprit. New injector fitted, cost me 515€ all in but it's running like a dream now! Thanks for the heads up!

Sounds rough. I had similar chaos with my Corsa. Reduced power, jerking – felt like driving through treacle! Check engine light was on too. Have you considered spark plugs? Could also be fuel injectors. Are you smelling unburnt fuel? Because if you are, it's probably your fuel injection system.
