Corsa Overheating and Communication Error

I've got a 2013 Vauxhall Corsa with a gasoline engine that's throwing up some weird errors. I'm getting engine overheating, the check engine light is on, and I've noticed coolant spills under the car, likely from over-pressurization. My OBD scanner is showing a control unit communication error. I've checked obvious things like coolant level and visually inspected the wiring harness, but no luck. Mileage is 199269 km. Any ideas?

Sounds like a proper headache! I had something similar happen with my Corsa (don't remember the year exactly). Kept getting random errors and overheating. Did your scanner give you a specific diagnostic trouble code (DTC)? It could be a dodgy connection somewhere messing with the data link. Like a loose wire in a Christmas light string, one faulty bulb and the whole thing goes haywire!

Yeah, it's throwing a U0100 code, lost communication with ECM/PCM. I suspected a wiring issue, but can't pinpoint it. Could it also be some kind of software glitch? Did yours throw the same code, and was it a connection problem in the end?

U0100 rings a bell for sure. Honestly, I messed about trying to find it myself for ages, checking fuses and praying to the car gods. In the end, I took it to a workshop, and they found a corroded connector on one of the control units. Cleaned it up, and problem solved. Saved me loads of time and grief. Sometimes, it's best to admit defeat!

Thanks! I appreciate the input. I'll take it to a local garage, I think. They've quoted me 95€ for checking and cleaning the faulty cable or plug connection. Sounds like a fair price to get rid of the problem!
