Corsa power window failure

My 2014 Vauxhall Corsa (diesel engine) with 108416 km is acting up. I replaced the battery, and now the power windows are completely dead and an error is stored. Seems like the window regulator initialization has gone wrong. Any ideas?

I had something similar happen on my Corsa after swapping the battery, the windows just refused to work. Did you try any kind of window reset procedure? Maybe holding the button down for a few seconds after they're fully closed?

Yeah I tried the usual hold-the-button-down trick for the window reset, but it didn't work. Held it up, held it down, even tried holding my breath – nothing. Are you talking about the same symptoms, right? Windows completely unresponsive?

Spot on, completely dead. I even checked the fuses just to be sure. I spent ages trying to sort it. In the end I took it to a mechanic to get it sorted. They did something with the ECU I think. Cost about 300€.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like I'm heading for the same fate. Garage it is then. At least I know what I'm up against now. Mechanic confirmed the same – window regulator needed re-initialized after the battery change. Quoted 290€. Thanks for confirming!
