Corsa preheating fault

I had a quick look, but didn't see anything right away. Is there anything specific I should be looking for on the cable or plug? Any common failure points?

Check for any corrosion on the connector pins, or any signs of damage to the wiring itself. Even a slightly loose connection can cause these symptoms. If you can't find anything obvious, it would be best to go to a workshop.

You were spot on! It was a bad connector on the preheating control unit. The workshop cleaned it up, and it's all good now. Cost 95€. Thanks for the help!

The preheating control unit is a good place to start. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the unit itself? A bad connection there can cause all sorts of weird electrical issues.
