Coolant level is fine and no visible leaks. Fan seems normal. Just wondering if defective cable or plug connection to the radiator is a real possibility?

Given the absence of overheating signs and coolant leaks, coupled with the specific error code you mentioned, a defective cable or plug connection to the radiator is indeed a plausible explanation. Such a fault could disrupt the sensor readings, leading to the observed transmission issues and error messages. However, confirming this definitively often requires specialized diagnostic equipment and expertise. Therefore, I recommend consulting a qualified mechanic for a thorough inspection. The problem could be more extensive.

Cheers for the advice. Turns out it was a dodgy connection like you said. Garage sorted it for 95€.

Greetings. The symptoms you've described do indeed sound indicative of a potential issue related to the radiator oil pressure, particularly with the transmission exhibiting unusual behavior and the presence of error codes. However, it's also important to consider other factors. Has the cooling fan been running more frequently or for extended periods? Have you noticed any signs of car overheating, such as steam or a higher-than-normal temperature gauge reading? Furthermore, when was the last time you checked the radiator coolant level, and is there any evidence of leaks around the oil cooler or radiator itself?
