Corsa transmission oil pressure sensor fault

Hi, I've got a 2020 Vauxhall Corsa, gasoline engine, with about 34k km on the clock. Getting a transmission oil pressure sensor fault. Engine warning light's on, sometimes the gearbox goes into emergency mode, and shifts are a bit rough, occasional grinding. Anyone seen this before? Checked for obvious leaks but couldn't spot anything.

I had similar symptoms with my Corsa. The error code pointed towards the transmission oil pressure sensor. Have you checked your gearbox oil level? A low oil level can trigger the sensor and cause these problems.

Thanks for the quick reply. I haven't checked the oil level directly in the gearbox, just looked for external leaks. Is it easy to check the gearbox oil level on these?

It's not the easiest thing to check yourself without the proper tools and knowledge, as you need to access the fill plug, and it can be difficult to reach. Considering the symptoms, it would be prudent to visit a workshop for a professional diagnosis. A low gearbox oil level would definitely explain the sensor fault and the shifting issues you're experiencing.

Took it to a garage, and you were spot on. Gearbox oil was indeed low. They topped it up, and replaced the oil sensor. Cost me 365€. Runs like a dream now, thanks for the help!
