Thanks for the reply. I'm pulling a P0544 code - Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1). Did you have the same code, or something similar? Was it definitely the sensor, or something else causing it?

Yeah, that sounds familiar. I had the same code. While it could be the sensor itself, a small exhaust leak near the sensor can also trigger it. Considering the symptoms, I’d advise getting it checked by a workshop to pinpoint the issue.

Thanks, I appreciate the confirmation. Took it to a mechanic who smoked the exhaust lines. Turns out there was a hairline crack near the sensor. Sensor and welding cost me 265€. Issue resolved.
