CR V Water Sensor Error
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Honda CR-V diesel exhibited a persistent malfunction indicator lamp with a code related to the water sensor, causing the engine to run rough. Initial checks of cabling and plug connections showed no visible issues. The problem was ultimately resolved by a workshop visit, where a defective cable was identified and repaired, restoring smooth engine operation.

Just the one code related to the water sensor, nothing else. Did you ever figure out what was causing it?

Yep, pretty much the same symptoms. I messed about with it for ages, tracing wires and cleaning connections, but in the end, I caved and took it to the garage. They sorted it quickly. Best bet is to get it booked in.

Workshop visit it is, then. A defective cable was the problem. 95€ later, and she's running smoothly. Thanks for the advice!

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my CR-V not too long ago. That check engine light drove me nuts! Were there any other codes along with the water sensor thing?
