CR Z door lock failure
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Honda CR-Z hybrid experienced a door lock failure, with the owner suspecting a door sensor issue after checking the fuses. A suggestion was made to inspect the wiring harness connections, as loose or corroded connections can cause such problems. The owner took the car to a mechanic, who confirmed the issue was due to a defective cable or plug connection, which was then repaired.

Wiring harness, huh? I'm not super car-savvy, so where exactly would I find that? Is it something I can easily get to, or am I going to need special tools?

Yeah, on my Renault, it was behind the door panel, near the latch mechanism. But honestly, if you're not comfortable messing with car electrics, it might be better to get a mechanic to take a look. A faulty door contact signal can mess with your car alarm too.

Thanks a bunch for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on. Turns out it was a defective cable or plug connection. 95€ later and it's fixed!

That's a weird one. I had a similar problem with my old Renault. Did you check the wiring harness where it connects to the door? Sometimes those connections get loose or corroded and cause signal problems.
