Creta check engine light jerking whistling noise
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Hyundai Creta is experiencing issues with the check engine light on, jerking during acceleration, a whistling noise turning into a hissing sound, stalling at idle, increased fuel consumption, and reduced engine power. These symptoms suggest a possible boost leak, potentially related to the turbo system. The problem was identified as a loose cable on the boost pressure sensor, which was resolved at a workshop.

Boost sensor, huh? Where exactly is that located, and is it something I could check myself without special tools?

It's usually somewhere along the intake manifold, after the turbo. Honestly, with those symptoms, I'd take it to a workshop. It could be a simple fix, like a loose hose, but if you're not familiar with turbo systems, it's best to be safe.

Thanks for the advice! Turns out it was the boost pressure sensor, just like you said. The cable was loose. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted at the workshop. Appreciate the help!

Sounds like a boost leak perhaps? I had similar symptoms with my old Peugeot. Check engine light, loss of power, weird noises... Did you check the boost sensor? Is the cable or plug connection defective?
