Creta Defrost Air Distribution Flap Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Hyundai Creta diesel is experiencing poor heating performance, with an error indicating a fault in the defrost air distribution flap. The suspected causes include a defective cable or plug connection, possibly due to loose or corroded connectors in the wiring harness near the ventilation system control module. A suggested solution is to inspect and possibly repair these connections, though accessing the module may require professional assistance due to its location behind the center console.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly is the ventilation system control module located? Is it easily accessible, or do I need to remove half the dashboard to get to it? Also, when you say 'wiring harness', are there any specific connectors I should be looking at first?

It's a pain to get to, behind the center console. If it's the same, it's better to get it checked out in the workshop. Cost me 95€ back then.

Thanks, that's helpful and really annoying. I will have it checked in the shop then. Appreciate the info!

I had a similar problem with my Creta. Check the wiring harness near the ventilation system control module. Sometimes the connectors come loose or get corroded. That could explain the error code and the low heating output.
