Creta door lock failure
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Hyundai Creta owner experienced a sudden failure in the door locking mechanism, suspecting a faulty door contact signal or defective cable. Another individual with a similar issue suggested checking the wiring harness in the door, as a loose connection there was the cause of their problem. The original issue was resolved by a workshop, which identified and repaired a defective plug connection.

Thanks! Where exactly in the door was the problem? Was it easy to spot, or did you need special tools to check it?

It was a loose connection in the wiring harness where it goes into the door. Honestly, I couldn't figure it out myself. I just took it to a workshop, and they sorted it out pretty quickly. Best to get it checked professionally, I reckon.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a local workshop. They found a defective plug connection, just like you suspected. Cost me 95€ to repair. Appreciate the help!

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Creta. The car alarm kept going off randomly, and sometimes the doors wouldn't lock properly. It was really frustrating. Have you checked the wiring harness in the door? That's where my problem was.
