Creta electronic parking brake failure
Summary of the thread
A 2017 gasoline Creta owner reported an issue with the electronic parking brake, which stopped working and displayed an error message and warning light. A similar problem was experienced by another owner, who suggested checking the brake switch or sensors. The issue in their case was a defective electric motor in the brake caliper. It was recommended to take the vehicle to a workshop for professional diagnosis and repair.

I haven't checked the switch or sensors yet. I was hoping to get some information before diving in. Could you tell me more about your issue?

I suspected the brake switch, but the wiring was fine. The electric motor in the brake calliper was defective and causing the glitch. I'd advise taking it to a workshop.

Thanks, I'll book an appointment with a mechanic. The estimated repair cost is 505€. Hopefully, it'll be resolved quickly.

That sounds very similar to a problem I had. My electronic parking brake failed with the same error message and warning light. I caught it early. Have you checked the brake switch or sensors?
