The diagnostic process involved checking the entire fuel tank ventilation system, starting from the purge valve and tracing back to the activated charcoal filter. It turned out to be a defective activated charcoal filter. Honestly, I would recommend taking it to a workshop. A mechanic should be able to diagnose it quickly and accurately.

Thanks a lot for your advice! I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on. The activated charcoal filter was indeed defective. The repair cost 275€. Problem solved!

Hello, I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. The symptoms were identical: check engine light and occasional stalling. In my case, it was related to a system failure within the fuel tank ventilation. Have you checked the purge valve and the air flow? These could also be contributing to the problem.
