Creta fuel injection issue
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Hyundai Creta owner is experiencing issues with the fuel injection system, leading to higher fuel consumption, reduced engine power, stalling when idling, and smoke during acceleration. The suspected cause is a faulty connection in the fuel injection system. A suggested solution is to have the vehicle inspected by a workshop, which confirmed a defective connection and repaired it, potentially resolving the issues.

Fuel consumption is significantly higher. The reduced power is noticeable all the time, especially when accelerating quickly. The smoke smells a bit like fuel. Could it be the same issue you experienced?

Sounds very familiar. I'd bet it's a defective cable or plug connection. Get it checked by a workshop ASAP; driving it like that could cause further damage. It's most likely a fuel leak somewhere in the petrol injection system.

Thanks a lot for the advice! The workshop found a defective connection, just like you said. Repair cost was around 95€. Hopefully, this will solve the problems. Really appreciate your help!

I had something similar with my Creta. Is the fuel consumption really bad, or just a bit higher than usual? When you say reduced power, is it constant or just during acceleration? Does the smoke smell of fuel?
