Creta Fuel Pressure Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Hyundai Creta diesel experienced a fuel pressure issue, indicated by a check engine light, engine stalling at idle, and reduced power, following a fuel filter change. The problem was suspected to be a defective fuel pressure regulator, possibly due to an error during the filter replacement. After confirming the faulty regulator and replacing it, the issue was resolved, and the vehicle returned to normal operation.

Thanks for the quick reply. To clarify, are you referring to the fuel pressure regulator itself, or a separate pressure sensor? I'm trying to narrow down possibilities before committing to a replacement. I'm wondering if the sensor could be giving a false reading.

Yes, it was indeed the fuel pressure regulator that presented the issue, although a sensor might also be a source of the problem. In my case, replacing the regulator resolved it completely. Given the symptoms and the fact that you just changed the fuel filter, I'd lean toward a faulty regulator. Still, I'd recommend a workshop visit to confirm the diagnosis.

I confirmed the defective fuel pressure regulator and replaced it. I cleared the error codes, and the Creta is running smoothly again. Final repair cost: 45€ Thanks for the advice!

I had very similar symptoms on my Creta. Check engine light, rough idle, felt like a pressure drop and near engine misfire. Was the pressure sensor checked?
