Creta Overheating
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Hyundai Creta diesel with 130,000 km is experiencing overheating issues despite normal coolant levels and no visible leaks. The problem may be due to the electric fan not functioning, potentially caused by a faulty cable or plug connection. It was suggested to check the fan's operation, and upon inspection, a defective cable and plug connection were identified as the cause. The issue was resolved by repairing the connection, costing 95€.

Good point. It seems like the fan isn't kicking in at all. How did you figure out the problem with your Astra? Was it a pain to diagnose? What did it cost to fix?

Yeah, mine was the same, the fan just wouldn't start. It turned out to be a faulty connection to the fan motor. Honestly, I just took it to a workshop; they sorted it out pretty quickly. You should probably do the same to avoid further damage.

Okay, I appreciate the insight. I had a hunch it might be something electrical. Turns out it was a defective cable and plug connection. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Overheating, huh? Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra a while back. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out what was wrong. Was the fan not kicking in at all, or was it intermittent?
