Creta Washer Fluid Warning
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Hyundai Creta diesel owner experienced a persistent washer fluid low warning despite the reservoir being full, and the windshield washer system was non-functional. The issue was suspected to be either a faulty washer motor or a sensor problem. After consulting with others, it was suggested to check the error memory for stored errors, which required a diagnostic tool. Upon visiting a workshop, the problem was identified as a faulty sensor in the washer fluid reservoir, which was replaced to resolve the issue.

Thanks! Where exactly is the error memory located? And how would I go about checking it? Is that something I can do myself, or do I need special tools?

You'll need a diagnostic tool to read the error codes. Best to head to a workshop; they can pinpoint the exact problem. It might be something simple, but without the right equipment, you're just guessing.

Thanks a lot for your help! Took it to the shop and it turned out to be a faulty sensor in the washer fluid reservoir. New sensor, 25€, and all is good again! Really appreciate the advice to check the error memory; that helped the mechanic find the issue quickly.

I had a similar problem with my Creta. It's like your car thinks it's always thirsty, right? Check the error memory, there might be a stored error related to the wiper system. Could be a faulty sensor or a blockage somewhere in the line.
