Creta Water Sensor Error
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Hyundai Creta diesel with 65,053 km had a check engine light indicating a water sensor error, accompanied by rough engine performance. The initial suspicion was a faulty sensor, but further investigation revealed a defective plug connector as the root cause. After replacing the connector, the vehicle's performance returned to normal.

I suspected a wiring issue and checked the connector visually, but didn't see anything obvious like corrosion or loose pins. Maybe I ruled it out too fast? What fixed your Creta? What should I look for when testing the moisture sensor?

My issue was a defective plug connector, like you first thought. I'd advise a workshop visit before it becomes a bigger problem. Auto electronics can be complex.

Thanks! You were right. The shop found a faulty connector on the water sensor. 95€ later, it's running smoothly.

Interesting. I also drive a Creta, and I had similar symptoms recently. The error memory was also full. Did you check the cable and plug connections to the sensor? Did you do any sensor testing?
