Crew rain-light sensor faulty

Good day, I have encountered a problem with my 2009 Nissan Crew diesel. The rain-light sensor seems to be faulty. The error memory has stored an error, the automatic wiping mode in the rain is not working, the automatic headlight control isn't functioning either and the speedometer dimming isn't working. The lights switch on by themselves.

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my old Peugeot. Is the sensor on the windshield? It might be bubbles under the gel pad.

Bubbles, really? I wouldn't have thought of that. Is that a common problem?

Yeah, happened to me and to a friend with a Renault. The sensor couldn't "see" correctly. A workshop visit might be a good idea.

Thank you for the tip! It turned out to be exactly that! Bubbles under the gel pad. Repair cost me 62€ including calibration.
