Crew Solar Sensor Fault

Thanks. I haven't inspected the cable and plug connection yet, but I plan to. Could a faulty connection really cause such a discrepancy in the heating performance? I assumed the solar sensor only impacted automatic climate control adjustments.

Well, on the Saab, it definitely did. Seems the sensor feeds info to the HVAC system, and a dodgy signal throws everything off. Start with the basics, check the wiring. But, honestly, if it's not obvious, and you value your time, maybe just get a workshop to check it out. Could save you a lot of hassle.

Appreciate the advice; I'll inspect the connections. Given the potential complexity and my limited time, I'll most likely take it to a trusted workshop. The estimate is about 95€ for diagnostics and potential repair of the cable or plug, which seems reasonable. Thanks again.

Interesting. Had a similar issue with my old Saab 9-5. 'Heating output too low', plus a persistent error code relating to the daylight sensor. Did you check the cable and plug connection to the sensor? They can get corroded or damaged, causing all sorts of weirdness. Is it easy to get to on the Nissan?
