Croma air valve issue
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Fiat Croma with 201,878 km had an air valve issue, causing the check engine light to activate and the engine to idle roughly. The suspected cause was a defective hose connection from the pump to the valve. After a mechanic's inspection, it was confirmed that the issue was indeed with the hose connection, which was repaired, resolving the problem.

Just idling rough. Where was the issue with your Astra exactly? Was it also a hose or something else in the air intake?

Yeah, similar deal. It was a small crack in a vacuum hose connected to the throttle body, creating an air leak. Honestly, I fiddled with it for a bit, but eventually just took it to a workshop. Best bet, I think.

Thanks for the info. I had a mechanic check it out, and you were right, it was the hose connection. Repair cost me 175€. Runs smoothly now.

That sounds frustrating. I had similar idle problems with my old Opel Astra a few years back. Turned out to be related to air supply as well. Was the engine stalling or just idling rough?
