Croma Cylinder Pressure Fluctuations
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Fiat Croma diesel exhibited cylinder pressure fluctuations, resulting in increased fuel consumption, reduced engine power, and an illuminated check engine light. Initial checks on spark plugs, crankshaft, and turbocharger were inconclusive, leading to speculation about potential head gasket or timing belt issues. However, the problem was ultimately traced to a faulty sensor causing misreadings, and replacing the sensor resolved the issue without any cost.

No weird codes, only the one related to the cylinder pressure. What was your fix?

In my case, the cylinder pressure issue was actually a consequential error. Another underlying problem was causing the misreading. Get it properly diagnosed to save yourself a headache.

You were spot on! Turns out it was a faulty sensor causing the misreading. Replaced it, and everything's back to normal. Cost me absolutely nothing. Thanks!

I had something similar with my Croma. Didn't have the power I expected, and fuel consumption was way up. Is it also throwing any weird codes?
