Thanks. I replaced the key fob battery recently, so that's not it. I'm not sure where the manual cable release is, or if my model even has one. Any details on where to find it?

Okay, if the key fob battery is new, then we can rule that out. Regarding the manual release, I remember looking for it myself, but in the end, I couldn't find it. I think it's best to have it checked at the workshop.

I've decided to bring it to a shop. I'll let you know what they find. It was the lock actuator and it cost me 210€ to get it fixed.

I had a similar problem with my Croma. The fuel flap wouldn't open, and I also got some weird errors popping up. Did you check the key fob battery? I know it sounds strange, but a weak battery can sometimes cause issues with the car's electrical system. Also, have you tried using the manual cable release, if there is one?
