Croma Poor Starting and Misfire
Summary of the thread
The 2005 Fiat Croma diesel is experiencing hard starting, increased fuel consumption, reduced engine power, rough idling, and occasional stalling. The suspected cause is a bad or dirty injection nozzle, possibly due to clogging. A workshop diagnosis confirmed the issue with the injection nozzle, leading to its repair.

Thanks. I haven't ruled out clogging, but the misfire seems constant. Can you tell me more about what you did to troubleshoot?

The misfire was constant. I first thought it was ignition, but it was the fuel injectors. It's complicated, so I'd suggest a workshop does a proper diagnostic. It could save you time and misdiagnoses.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and the injection nozzle was bad, probably clogged like we thought. The repair was 515€.

I own a Croma too, and that sounds familiar. Reduced engine power and rough idling were my first signs. Have you thought about clogged injectors? What have you done to figure it out?
