Croma Washer Fluid Sensor Issue

My 2009 Fiat Croma, gasoline engine, shows 'washer fluid low' despite being full. Error stored. Windshield washer system inoperative. Mileage is 113322 km. Checked the spray jets; they're clear.

Summary of the thread

The 2009 Fiat Croma displayed a 'washer fluid low' warning despite a full reservoir, and the windshield washer system was not functioning. The issue was identified as a faulty level sensor in the washer fluid reservoir. The problem was resolved by replacing the sensor, which cost 25€ and took 30 minutes to fix.

Had a similar issue with my old Saab 9-3. Washer reservoir was full, but the warning persisted. Turned out the level sensor was faulty. Does the Fiat have a similar sensor setup in the reservoir?

Level sensor... right. Is that a common failure point? Is there any easy way to test it?

On my Saab, it was a known issue. A multimeter will tell you if it's sending the right signal. But honestly, for the price and hassle, probably best to just have a workshop take a quick look. They can diagnose it properly in minutes.

Cheers. It was indeed the level sensor. 25€ and 30 minutes later it's resolved. Thanks for the pointer.
