Croma weak battery
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Fiat Croma with a gasoline engine is experiencing starting difficulties and flickering lights, suggesting a weak battery. The battery terminals appear clean, eliminating them as the cause. A potential issue could be a faulty battery sensor, which might be causing low voltage. It is recommended to have the sensor checked at a workshop, as specialized equipment is needed for accurate diagnosis.

Interesting, where is that sensor located, and is there a way to test it at home, or do I need to take it to a workshop?

It's usually near the battery itself. Honestly, testing it accurately requires specialized equipment. It's like trying to diagnose a heart problem with a stethoscope alone – you need an EKG. I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop to be sure. It solved my issues.

Thanks for the tip! I'll take it to a workshop and have them check the battery sensor. Hopefully, that's the culprit. After the repair, the bill was around 315€ to fix the sensor, and my car is running like new again!

I had a similar problem with my Croma. Check the battery sensor, especially if your car is the same model. It might be faulty, causing a low voltage situation. It's like a leaky faucet – a small drip can empty the whole tank eventually.
