Cronos outside temperature sensor issues
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Fiat Cronos is experiencing issues with the outside temperature sensor, leading to an error code, non-functional AC, frozen spray nozzles, and non-working mirror heating. The problem might be due to a defective cable or plug connection. While checking the sensor for dirt or corrosion is suggested, the symptoms indicate a potential wiring issue or faulty sensor, and taking the car to a workshop is recommended for a proper diagnosis and repair.

I haven't checked the sensor physically yet. Where exactly is it located, and is it easy to access? I'm not super experienced with car repairs, but I'm willing to give it a shot before taking it to a shop.

Honestly, it's a bit fiddly to get to, and if you're already seeing multiple systems affected (AC, mirror heating, etc.) and an error code, it's probably more than just a bit of dirt. It could be a wiring issue as you mentioned, or a faulty sensor that needs replacing. Given all the symptoms, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. Could save you a lot of headache.

Thanks for the advice! I was hoping it would be a simple fix, but you're probably right. I'll take it to a workshop and get it checked out. They quoted me around 95€, so hopefully, it won't be too expensive. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar! I've got a Fiat Cronos too, though I can't remember the exact year. I had similar problems with the AC and mirror heating last year. Have you checked the sensor itself? Maybe it's just dirty or corroded?
