Cronos washer system failure

Hey, my 2018 Fiat Cronos with a gasoline engine is giving me fits. The headlight cleaning system seems to have gone belly up. Now, the windshield washer isn't working either. I checked the fuses, and they seem fine. Anyone experience something similar?

Summary of the thread

A 2018 Fiat Cronos owner experienced simultaneous failures in the headlight cleaning and windshield washer systems. After confirming that the fuses were intact, it was suggested that the issue might be related to the pump or its electrical connections. Another owner with a similar problem found that a defective cable connection or relay was the cause. The problem was resolved by checking and repairing the connections, ultimately requiring professional assistance.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Sounds familiar! I've got a Cronos too. Had a similar issue that drove me nuts for a while. If your headlight washers went kaput AND your windshield washers packed their bags at the same time, it is almost certainly the pump, or at least the connection to it. Think of it like a house where the water pipes burst – everything connected to that pipe suddenly stops getting water!

Interesting! So, you're thinking it's electrical or a physical blockage? Where exactly is that pump located? Any chance of a leak somewhere?

Yeah, after a bit of digging I found out the cable connection of the pump or relay was defective. I'm no electrician, so I booked into the workshop. Cost me about 165€ to get sorted. Maybe check the visible connections around the washer bottle first, but it might be worth getting a pro to look at it, too. Hopefully it's a quick fix!

Awesome, thanks for the insight! You've saved me a bunch of time, at least in the initial diagnosis. I'll check the connections first, but sounds like a trip to the shop is in order. Turns out a faulty connection was the culprit. All sorted now - cheers!
