Crossland X Belt Tensioner

Moving freely, yes, but does it provide enough tension? Seems like that's the crux of the problem. Was it definitely the tensioner on yours, and not something else related to the timing belt?

Fair question. In my case, it was indeed the tensioner. The belt drive wasn't engaging properly. If the belt-handover isn't working, and the tensioner seems weak, it's probably the tensioner. Might be workshop time.

Right you are. Workshop confirmed tensioner issue. X€455 to fix it. Thanks for the input, appreciated.

Sounds familiar. I've a Crossland X too. Had a similar issue with mine. Belt squeal was the first sign, then the belt drive started acting up. Did you check the tensioner pulley itself? Is it moving freely?
