Crossland X cruise control fault

My 2020 Vauxhall Crossland X diesel has developed a cruise control fault. It just stopped working the other day. The cruise control doesn't engage, and there's an error stored in the ECU. I've checked the brake pedal switch, visually inspected the wiring around the steering wheel controls, and even tried cleaning the throttle position sensor plug, but no joy. Anyone else had this issue?

I had a similar problem with my Crossland X. The cruise control would intermittently cut out, and then eventually stopped working altogether. I recall checking the same things as you - brake switch, wiring, etc. Did you check the dashboard lights? I remember that one of the lights was on.

Dashboard lights? Which one are you referring to? I didn't see any specific cruise control light illuminated when it failed, only the stored error code when I plugged in the OBD reader. Was it a warning light or something else?

Yes, it was a warning light, though I can't remember exactly which one. It was definitely related to the issue, though. I ended up taking it to a workshop, and they diagnosed it as a faulty connection in the steering wheel. I recommend you do the same.

Thanks for the info. I suspected it might be something like that. Took it to my local garage, and you were spot on. They found a defective cable/plug connection in the steering wheel. 95€ later, and it's sorted. Appreciate the pointer!
