Crossland X Idle Air Control Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Vauxhall Crossland X with a gasoline engine is experiencing a check engine light and stalling at idle, linked to an idle air control (IAC) issue. The suspected cause is a faulty IAC valve, potentially due to a contaminated intake. A similar case was resolved by replacing the IAC valve and cleaning the intake, which restored smooth engine operation.

Thanks for the quick reply! My car has about 39252 km on it. Did cleaning the air intake solve the problem for you, or was the IAC valve itself replaced?

Cleaning it didn't fully resolve the issue if I'm honest. I ended up taking it to a workshop. They confirmed a faulty IAC valve which was probably caused by the intake. Best to get it checked out by a pro. They can diagnose it properly.

Thanks for the advice! I went to a local garage and they confirmed it. Replacing the IAC valve and cleaning the intake ended up costing me 425€. Runs smoothly now!

I had similar issues with my Crossland X. Check engine light, stalling at idle, the whole shebang. It might be worth checking your air intake for excessive build-up, as that can definitely gunk up the IAC valve. How many kilometers on the clock?
