Cable connections, eh? Interesting. Where exactly were the defective cable connections? I mean, I'm reasonably handy, but I don't want to start ripping things apart if it's a super-specialized area. Was it something obvious once you got in there, or were you poking around with a multimeter for hours?

I can confirm that the issue was indeed related to defective cable connections within the steering wheel. In my experience, due to the potential complexity of the electrical fault within the steering controls, a visit to the workshop is advisable for a thorough vehicle diagnostics assessment.

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to a local garage, and you were spot on – dodgy cable connection in the steering wheel. They sorted it for 95€. Saved me a fortune compared to what the main dealer quoted! Cheers!

I also own a Crossland X. I had a similar issue with the multifunction steering wheel a while ago. If an error is stored in the error memory, have you checked the cable connections in the steering wheel itself? That was the problem with mine.
