I've had a quick look at the connections, but didn't see anything obvious. The engine light is on, but I don't have a code reader. Where exactly were you looking on your Peugeot? Any specific injector I should focus on?

On my Peugeot, it was the injector furthest from the timing belt. Honestly, even if you find a loose connection, it might be worth getting it checked professionally. With those symptoms, there could be underlying damage. For me, it felt like the engine was choking. A proper diagnostic check might save you a bigger headache down the road.

Okay, thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop today, and you were spot on! It was a defective cable connection to one of the injectors. They charged me 95€ to fix it. Now she is running as smooth as new again!

Sounds rough! I had similar issues with my old Peugeot 308, though it wasn't quite the same engine. Symptoms were almost identical: poor fuel economy, loss of power. Have you checked all the connections to the injectors? It ended up being a loose plug on one of the injectors. Made a world of difference once I found it. Are you getting any error codes?
