Summary of the thread
The 2018 Vauxhall Crossland X has a malfunctioning sun blind that is stuck and not retracting or extending properly, accompanied by an error code. The issue is likely due to a defective motor. Thanks for the tip! I did try manually assisting it, but no luck. It's completely jammed. Did your Peugeot show any error codes, or was it purely a mechanical problem?

Yeah, it did throw up a code in the end. I messed about with it for ages then just took it to a local garage to have a look. They said the motor was knackered and gave me a quote, so, yes similar issue. Probably best to take it to a workshop and avoid making it worse.

Appreciate the advice. I think a workshop visit is inevitable. Just got a quote for around 330€, so I'll get it booked in. Thanks again.

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with the sun visor on my old Peugeot 308 a few years back. It would get stuck halfway and make a right racket trying to move. Did you try giving it a bit of a nudge while pressing the button? Sometimes that would work for me, temporarily at least.
