Thanks for the reply. Can you elaborate on how you diagnosed the issue and what tools or procedures were involved in finding the faulty switch? Was the switch easily accessible?

The initial diagnosis was at a certified workshop using diagnostic equipment to read error codes, which pointed to an issue in the brake light circuit. Further inspection showed the switch was faulty, providing intermittent signals. The switch is relatively accessible, but I'd recommend taking your CrosslandX to a workshop for diagnosis and repair, especially with safety-critical systems like brakes.

I wanted to let you know about the brake light issue on my Vauxhall CrosslandX. I took it to a certified workshop, and the diagnostic scan confirmed the brake light switch was the problem. They said it was likely caused by user error while adjusting something under the pedals. The replacement was quick, and the repair was covered under warranty at no cost. Thanks again for your help and advice.

I have a CrosslandX, though it's an older model. I had a similar brake system issue. The error message and brake light failure are concerning. My problem was a faulty brake light switch. The car's computer registered inconsistent signals from the switch, causing the error and light issue. Have you checked the brake light switch?
