CrosslandX Engine Stalling After Fuel Filter Change

I've got a 2018 Vauxhall CrosslandX with a gasoline engine. The check engine light keeps popping on, and the engine stalls sometimes when idling. Plus, it feels like it's lost power. It's done 205147 km. I recently changed the fuel filter myself; could that be the issue? Maybe I messed something up there?

It sounds like you may have a fuel pressure issue. I had similar symptoms on my old Peugeot after a fuel filter replacement. The error codes pointed towards a defective fuel pressure regulator.

A defective fuel pressure regulator, huh? So, you reckon that's a possibility? What did you end up doing to fix it? Any chance it's just a dodgy connection somewhere?

Yes, it's a distinct possibility given the symptoms and recent filter change. In my case, the regulator required replacement. While checking connections is prudent, the fault suggests component failure.

Took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was the fuel pressure regulator. They said there was an error entry related to the fuel filter change. Replaced it for 45€ and it runs smooth now. Thanks for the advice!
