CrosslandX mirror heating fault
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Vauxhall CrosslandX owner is experiencing a malfunction with the mirror heating system, indicated by a stored error in the car's memory. The fuses have been checked and are fine, suggesting the issue might be related to wiring or a connector problem. It is advised to inspect the wiring where it enters the door panel for any loose connections or damage. If the problem persists, consulting a workshop for professional repair is recommended.

Thanks for the reply! The error message is pretty generic, just says something about 'mirror heating circuit malfunction'. Where exactly should I be looking for the wiring? Is it easy to access, or do I need to take the mirror apart?

Yeah, sounds familiar! I wouldn't go pulling the mirror apart just yet. The wiring usually runs through the door, so check where the mirror cable enters the door panel. You might be able to see the connector by just popping off a small section of the trim. Honestly, though, I ended up just taking mine to a workshop. They found a dodgy connector and it cost about 95€ to fix. Might save you some hassle!

Thanks, that's really helpful! I'll have a look at the wiring where it enters the door, but if I can't see anything obvious, I think I'll just book it in at a local garage. Sounds like it's probably a similar connector issue. Appreciate the advice!

Hey, I had a similar issue with my CrosslandX! Is the error message specific, or just a general 'mirror heating fault' type thing? Mine was doing the same – no heating, and throwing an error. Have you checked the wiring to the mirror itself? It might be a loose connection or a damaged wire. Those are often the culprits.
