CrosslandX oxygen sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Vauxhall CrosslandX owner experienced a check engine light and increased fuel consumption, suspecting an oxygen sensor issue. A suggestion was made to inspect the oxygen sensor cable and plug connection, as a faulty connection could cause these problems. The owner confirmed the issue was indeed with the oxygen sensor cable, which was fixed at a workshop, resolving the problem.

Thanks! Where exactly is the oxygen sensor cable/plug located? I'm not super familiar with car maintenance but I'll try to have a look before going to the workshop. Also, how can I check if the catalytic converter is in order?

It's near the exhaust manifold. Honestly, if you're not comfortable, best to get it checked by a workshop. Could be a faulty sensor. If it is just the sensor, it's a relatively cheap fix.

Okay, thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop and you were right, it was the oxygen sensor cable. Cost me 95€ to fix. Runs like a dream now!

I had similar symptoms on my CrosslandX. Check the oxygen sensor cable and plug connection. A defective connection can cause those issues, especially the check engine light and fuel inefficiency. Is the catalytic converter in order?
