Thanks for the quick reply! The error code was pretty generic, something like 'Seat heating element - malfunction'. Didn't give any more detail than that. I checked the fuses already, and they all seem fine. Is it a big job to replace the heating element?

Yeah, that's the same kind of vague error I got. If the fuse is okay, it's almost certainly the heating mat in the seat. Replacing it isn't impossible to do yourself, but honestly, it's a pain. You have to remove the seat, take the seat cover off, and carefully replace the mat without damaging anything. I ended up taking mine to a workshop.

Okay, thanks for the info. Sounds like it's best left to the professionals then. I got a quote from a local garage – about 390€ to replace the seat heating mat. I'll book it in. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my old Peugeot 308, though it was a diesel. The seat heater just gave up the ghost. Did the error code specify anything in particular, like an open circuit or short to ground? It could be a fuse, but usually, it's the heating element itself in the seat.
