CrosslandX System Readiness Error
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Vauxhall CrosslandX displayed a system readiness error, with an incomplete readiness check after an OBD2 scan. This issue can prevent passing emissions tests. A suggested solution was performing a drive cycle, which involves specific driving patterns to reset the system. Ultimately, a local mechanic resolved the issue by resetting the system, with no cost incurred.

A drive cycle? Can you explain that a bit more? I'm not really sure what that involves or how long it takes. Is it something I can easily do myself, or is special equipment needed?

The drive cycle is a manufacturer-specified series of accelerations, decelerations, and steady-state driving conditions designed to allow the vehicle's onboard diagnostics to run all its tests. Without knowing the exact drive cycle for your specific engine calibration, it's difficult to say if you can complete it correctly without specialized diagnostic equipment to verify the monitor status. You're probably best off bringing it to a workshop.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a local mechanic and they sorted it. Apparently, the system just needed a reset after the OBD2 read. No cost to me at all!

I had a similar issue with my CrosslandX after some onboard diagnostics were run. The system readiness wouldn't complete, which meant I couldn't pass the emissions test. Have you tried performing a drive cycle to see if that resets the monitors? It involves specific driving patterns to allow the car to check all its systems.
