CrosslandX Temperature Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Vauxhall CrosslandX is experiencing issues with the outside temperature sensor, leading to an error code, non-functional AC, frozen washer nozzles, and ineffective mirror heaters. The problem is likely due to faulty connections at the sensor, possibly caused by corrosion. Checking and repairing the wiring and plugs near the sensor resolved the issue, as confirmed by a mechanic.

Cheers! When you say connection, do you mean like, the actual wires near the sensor? Or further back in the system?

Yep, right at the sensor. On my Peugeot, the plug was corroded. Give the wires a wiggle too, see if anything changes. If not, it could be the sensor itself, which sadly I had to get done at the workshop.

Thanks for the advice! I had a look at the plug like you said, but gave up and took it to a local mechanic, the connections were indeed faulty, exactly as you said! Cost me 95€ and it's all fixed!

Sounds familiar! I had similar weirdness with my old Peugeot – different symptoms, but turned out to be a dodgy temp sensor connection. Might be worth checking the wiring and plugs before diving into anything major.
