CrosslandX transmission issues

My 2017 Vauxhall CrosslandX diesel, with 225379 km, is showing some strange symptoms. The transmission and check engine lights are on, and it's stuck in emergency mode. Shifting is rough, with grinding noises, and the error memory mentions radiator oil pressure. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone encountered something similar?

Whoa, that sounds rough! My old Peugeot 308 (gasoline) had similar issues last year - transmission light, weird shifting, the whole shebang. Turned out to be a faulty pressure sensor in the cooling system. Could be worth checking that, or maybe the cooling fan relay? Any sign of overheating?

Interesting. You mentioned a pressure sensor. Was that directly related to the radiator, or somewhere else in the cooling system? Also, did your error codes specifically mention pressure?

Yeah, the sensor was near the radiator, part of the cooling system. The error code wasn't super specific, something vague about 'transmission malfunction' which sent me on a wild goose chase. Given your error and symptoms, and the potential cable issue, I'd say a workshop visit is in order. Save yourself the headache!

Thanks for the insight. I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on. Defective cable connection to the pressure gauge. Repair cost 95€ Appreciate the help!
