CrosslandX Water Sensor Fault

I've got a 2021 Vauxhall CrosslandX, diesel engine, and I'm having a bit of a headache. The check engine light keeps popping on, and the error memory's storing something about the water sensor. Engine's running a bit rough too. Anyone else seen this? Could it be a dodgy cable or plug? Don't fancy spending a fortune tracking it down.

I had a similar issue with my CrosslandX. Is the error message specifically pointing to the water sensor? Because in my case, the symptoms were identical, but the root cause was a slightly different electrical fault affecting the sensor readings.

Cheers for the reply! Yeah, the error code definitely mentions the water sensor. Did yours also give rough running? Was it a pain to sort out?

Yes, the rough running was definitely there. Given that the error code points directly to the water sensor, and knowing these things, it's probably best to get it checked at a workshop. They can test the sensor and wiring properly, which saves you time and potential further issues.

Took it to a local workshop, and you were spot on – turned out to be a faulty connection to the water sensor. New plug and wiring sorted it. Bill came to 95€ Thanks for the advice!
