Crossroad engine stalling IAC valve issue
Summary of the thread
The 2010 Honda Crossroad is experiencing engine stalling when idling, with the check engine light indicating an issue with the idle air control (IAC) valve. The problem is more pronounced when the engine is cold, with rev fluctuations before stalling. A similar case involved a heavily contaminated air intake, where cleaning the IAC valve was ineffective, leading to its replacement, which resolved the issue. Booking a workshop appointment for a thorough inspection and potential valve replacement is suggested.

It's more prone to stalling when it's cold. And yeah, the revs dip and fluctuate before it dies. Did you end up replacing the IAC valve?

Given those symptoms, it definitely sounds like the IAC valve. I tried cleaning mine, but it didn't really solve the problem long-term. I took it to a workshop. They confirmed the intake was heavily contaminated and replaced the valve. Cost me around 425€, but it fixed the stalling issue completely.

Sounds like I'm heading down the same path. I appreciate the insight! I'll book it into a workshop this week and get them to check it out.

I had a similar issue with my Honda Crossroad, although I can't remember the exact error code. Does the engine stall immediately, or does it fluctuate a bit before giving up? Was it worse when the engine was cold?
