Crossroad Oil Pressure Warning
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Honda Crossroad owner experienced an oil pressure warning light and error code, with diagnostics indicating a faulty engine oil temperature sensor. Initial suspicion was on the cable or plug connection, but after checking and cleaning these, the issue persisted. Another owner with similar symptoms suggested that a loose or corroded connection could mimic a sensor fault. Ultimately, the problem was confirmed to be the sensor itself, which was replaced, resolving the issue.

Wiring and connectors were my first thought. Cleaned and checked, still the same. Did your diagnostics specifically point to the temp sensor, or just general oil pressure issues?

Yes, diagnostics narrowed it down to the temp sensor circuit. Given you've checked the wiring, it does sound like the sensor itself. In the end, I took it to a workshop. They confirmed the sensor failure quickly.

The workshop confirmed it was the sensor. Replaced it - total cost 95€. Running smooth now.

I have a Crossroad and had similar symptoms: engine oil temperature sensor, warning lights, the whole shebang. Before replacing the sensor, have you thoroughly checked all wiring and connectors related to it? A loose or corroded connection can mimic a faulty sensor reading.
